NDMC Scriptural Prayer
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew:
“Enter through the narrow gate;
for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction,
and those who enter through it are many.
How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life.
And those who find it are few.”
The Gospel of the Lord.
Let us pray
Almighty and loving God, our stay here at NDMC is not always happy. We struggle in our studies, we struggle in one way or another as we adjust to the new environment, new faces, new lessons. Help us to see the brighter side of our experience and may we grow more in our knowledge of you. We trust in your guidance Lord that our sacrifices will be truly lead us to life. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew:
Jesus said to his disciples:
“In praying, do not babble like the pagans,
who think that they will be heard because of their many words.
Do not be like them.
Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
The Gospel of the Lord.
Let us Pray:
Almighty and loving God, You know the longings of every heart and our needs are never unknown to you. Look at us, students, faculty and personnel of NDMC, that in our daily struggle, we may end glorifying you for you are our only source of strength and love. We rely in your Fatherly love, neglect us not, Oh Lord. Amen.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew:
But when you give alms,
do not let your left hand know what your right is doing,
so that your almsgiving may be secret.
And your Father who sees in secret will repay you.

Let us Pray:
Almighty Father, guide your faithful in thier prayer life. Make us true to our prayer and allow our lives to be answers to our own prayers and the prayers of others. Help us to be true to our baptismal promises. May our day today be filled with inspiration to live out your word. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Gospel of the Lord.
Let us pray.
Loving and Merciful Father, make us your faithful disciple and give us today the strength we need to proclaim your message by our honesty and openness. As we received your gift for us today, grant us the grace to make known your goodness to everyone we meet. Bless this day, O Lord. Amen.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew:
When Jesus saw the crowds he went up on the mountainside. After he had sat down his disciples gathered around him, and began to teach them:
“How blest are the poor in spirit: the reign of God is theirs... Blest are the single-hearted for they shall see God... Blest are the peacemakers; they shall be called sons of God...”
The Gospel of the Lord.
Let us pray.
Almighty and loving God, we are gathered around you today as we commence this academic year with an orientation. We ask your guidance, Father, that our efforts to achieve our goals, make us realize our poverty in Spirit and so inherit your Kingdom, be single- hearted and see you, and be lovers of peace and be rightly called your sons and daughters.
Bless our personnels, administrators and staff and these young people that as they strive in their studies, their lives may be moulded into your most Holy Will through Christ our Lord. Amen.
